The invention discloses a method for producing general cement clinker by partially replacing an iron correction raw material with iron oxide slag. The method comprises the following steps: blending following raw materials in percentage by mass: 83-92% of limestone, 2.2-2.8% of a mixture of iron oxide slag and ash residues, 5.6-9.3% of sandstone, and 0-9% of shale; mixing, putting the mixture intoa raw material vertical mill for milling; wherein in the mixture of iron oxide slag and ash residues, the weight ratio of iron oxide slag to ash residues is 1:1-6; drying and pre-decomposing the ground raw material, carrying out high-temperature calcination after the decomposition rate reaches 95% or above, and cooling to obtain the general Portland cement clinker.
