The invention relates to a double-layer friction type rotation damper. A left side end plate, a first left side arc plate, a left side web, a left side web stiffening plate, a second left side arc plate, a cover plate, a clamping plate, a right side end plate, a flange plate, a right side web, a right side arc plate, a right side web stiffening plate, a flange stiffening plate and a friction damping material are included. A left side joint is formed by the left side end plate, the first left side arc plate, the left side web, the left side web stiffening plate, the second left side arc plate,the cover plate and the clamping plate. A right side joint is formed by the right side arc plate, the flange plate, the right side web, the right side end plate, the right side web stiffening plate and the flange stiffening plate. The friction damping material is clamped between the joints on the two sides, and high-strength bolts are adopted for connection. The double-layer friction type rotationdamper is installed on an end beam, relative corner sliding happens under the action of the earthquake, and the friction damping force is provided. The double-layer friction type rotation damper is provided with a double-friction-face structure, and compared with the existing same-kind invention, double friction damping force is increased.
