The invention relates to an anti-sidesway garden pavilion and a construction method thereof. The garden pavilion comprises a plurality of stand columns anchored to the ground and a pavilion cover fixed to the top ends of the stand columns. A main rod is embedded into each stand column. A plurality of auxiliary rods embedded underground are connected to the bottom ends of the main rods. The auxiliary rods are arranged along the circumference of the axes of the main rods at equal angles. A connecting hole is formed in the end, close to each main rod, of the corresponding auxiliary rod. A plurality of connecting hooks with upward openings are arranged at the bottom ends of the main rods. The connecting hooks are in pluggable cooperation with the connecting holes. By adopting the technical scheme, when the stand columns are subjected to transverse acting force, window force and the like, torque and acting force in the horizontal direction are generated around the anchoring end, at the moment, the connecting hooks close to the stress direction are stressed to pull the corresponding auxiliary rods, and the anti-dumping and anti-sidesway effects are achieved.
