The invention discloses a thin-wall large-aperture cordierite honeycomb ceramic carrier. The cordierite crystal phase content in the cordierite honeycomb ceramic carrier is larger than 90%, the medianpore diameter of the cordierite honeycomb ceramic carrier is larger than or equal to 4.3 micrometers, the porosity is larger than or equal to 32.7%, the thermal expansion coefficient is smaller thanor equal to 0.35*10<-6>/DEG C, and the A-axis compression resistance is larger than or equal to 5.5MPa. The invention also discloses a preparation method of the ceramic carrier, which comprises the following steps: (1) uniformly dry-mixing an inorganic material with an organic binder to obtain a dry-mixed material; (2) adding a surfactant, a lubricating agent and a dispersing agent into the dry-mixed material, and performing wet mixing to obtain plastic particles; (3) removing impurities from the plastic particles, and performing continuous extrusion in a vacuumized state; and (4) carrying outmicrowave treatment on the extruded semi-finished product, and carrying out air suction drying, cutting and sintering at the same time to obtain the honeycomb ceramic carrier.
