The invention belongs to the technical field of honeycomb ceramic materials, and particularly relates to a large-specification thin-wall narrow-aperture-distribution wall flow type honeycomb ceramic catalyst carrier and a preparation method thereof. The method comprises the following steps: 1) taking selected amounts of aluminum oxide, magnesium oxide, spherical fused quartz, needle-like raw kaolin, hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose and a high-temperature binder, and fully dry-mixing; (2) adding a polyether polyol dispersing agent, base oil and water into the mixed powder, kneading, carrying out vacuum pugging treatment, extruding to obtain a wall-flow honeycomb ceramic carrier with a required size, and drying to obtain a green body; and 3) firing the green body to obtain the large-specification thin-wall narrow-aperture-distribution wall flow type honeycomb ceramic catalyst carrier. The product provided by the invention is a large-specification thin-wall 300cpsi/5-7mil cordierite wall flow type honeycomb ceramic carrier, can be applied to PN traps of Europe 7 and national 7 diesel vehicles, and is particularly suitable for controlling the PN size to reach gt according to the requirements of the national 7 and Europe 7; and the special requirement of 10nm is met.
