The invention discloses a supporting device for a sunshade. The supporting device comprises a supporting body, wherein the supporting body comprises an umbrella handle connecting seat and a supportingsleeve; the umbrella handle connecting seat comprises a cylindrical connecting bottom plate; an annular cylindrical umbrella handle inserting seat is formed on the upper end surface of the connectingbottom plate; the supporting sleeve is a cylinder of which the center of the upper end surface is provided with a cylindrical groove-shaped connecting groove; the connecting bottom plate is in threaded connection to the upper end of the side wall of the connecting groove; a plurality of supporting swing rods which are uniformly distributed in the circumferential direction are hinged to the lowerend surface of the connecting bottom plate; inserting rods are arranged at the lower ends of the supporting swing rods in a radial elastic moving mode; a hemispherical driving plate with an upward spherical surface is arranged on the lower side wall of the connecting groove in a lifting mode; the driving plate drives the inserting rods to move in the radial direction; and a plurality of limiting penetrating holes which are uniformly distributed in the circumferential direction and penetrate through the inserting rods from inside to outside are formed in the lower part of the side wall of the connecting groove.
