The method comprises the steps that when sewage and rainwater need to be separated, an identification instruct indicating whether a buffer portion needs to store water or not is received; if the buffer portion needs to store water, a first switch is controlled to be closed, at this moment, sewage in aninterception portion is stopped from flowing into a confluence pipe, meanwhile, a control instruct for vacuumizing the buffer portion is triggered, a vacuum pump is used for vacuumizing the buffer portion, and an air pressure difference is formed between the buffer portion and the interception portion; and then the sewage in the interception portion automatically flows into the buffer portion to be stored under the effect of the air pressure difference, so that only rainwater exists in the confluence pipe. The technical defects that in the prior art, a natural water body is severely polluted in rainy days easily due to the emission mode that sewage input from sewage holding facilities directly enters the confluence pipe and is output, or the treatment pressure of sewage treatment facilities is excessively high, and resources are wasted are effectively avoided, the technical effect that sewage is regulated and stored when no sewage emission is needed can be achieved, and the sewage regulation and storage method with water input based on vacuum has the characteristics of convenient operation and wide applicability.
