The invention belongs to the technical field of bottomland development inside a Yellow River levee and relates to an artificial lake system inside a Yellow River levee and a method using the artificial lake system for desilting, water supply, emergency water storage and flood discharge. The artificial lake system integrates four functions including desilting, urban water supply, urban emergency water storage and Yellow River flood discharge, and comprises an artificial lake, a water drawing pump station, a water outlet pump station and a water transportation system. The artificial lake is a rectangular artificial lake composed of a southern levee, an eastern multi-hole gate, a river middle levee, and a western multi-hole gate. The western multi-hole gate and the eastern multi-hole gate areparallel to each other and both ends of the western multi-hole gate and the eastern multi-hole gate are vertically connected with the southern levee and the river middle levee respectively. The waterdrawing pump station is arranged on the west side of the river middle levee; the water outlet pump station is arranged in the middle of the southern levee; a large dredging boat is arranged in the artificial lake; and the water transportation system comprises a flood peak desilting pool which communicates with the water outlet pump station, a water delivery pump station, and transportation pipelines, wherein the flood peak desilting pool is arranged on the south side of the southern levee, the transportation pipelines are connected with an urban tap water work, and a small dredging boat is arranged in the flood peak desilting pool.
