The vertical rod comprises a vertical rod body, a lifting sleeve and a leadscrew, wherein the vertical rod body is used for supporting the lifting sleeve; the vertical rod body comprises a hollow rod main body, adjusting screw rods are arranged at the top of the rod main body, and adjusting nuts are screwed on the adjusting screw rods; the lifting sleeve is used for supporting the lead screw and comprises a sleeve body with a top opening, the sleeve body is arranged in the rod main body, a fixing ring is arranged on the edge of the top of the sleeve body, and fixing holes are formed in the positions, corresponding to the adjusting screw rods, on the fixing ring; theadjusting screw rods are correspondingly inserted into the fixing holes, and the adjusting nuts support the fixing ring; the lead screw is used for fixing a scaffold; and the lead screw is arranged inthe sleeve body. The vertical rod can be adjusted horizontally and vertically, the construction site adaptability is high, operation is simple, steel tubes do not need to be cut during field construction, and the vertical rod can be repeatedly used and is high in utilization rate.
