The roof greening system comprises an assembly base and a plurality of modular green plants detachably installed on the assembly base; the assembly base is formed by assembling a plurality of longitudinal partition plates and horizontal partition plates; a supporting plate used for supporting the modular green plants is arranged between two corresponding horizontal partition plates; the supporting plates can rise and fall; each horizontal partition plate is provided with an insertion slot; two sidesof each supporting plate are each fixedly provided with a pulling plate; the pulling plates are inserted into the insertion slots correspondingly; the top part of each pulling plate extends out of the corresponding insertion slot and is fixedly connected with a limiting baffle; each modular green plant includes a water storage tray, a water guide passage, a seedling culture tray, water guide cloth and a planting layer; the bottom part of each water storage tray is provided with a water supply cavity; the corresponding water guiding cloth and planting layer cover the seedling culture tray; each water guide passage communicating with the corresponding water supply cavity is arranged in the corresponding water storage tray; and the top part of each water guide passage is provided with waterspray holes. The roof greening system is convenient to install and convenient in later maintenance.
