The invention provides an extra-large span light steel roof truss and a mounting method thereof. The extra-large span light steel roof truss comprises lower chords, vertical web members, diagonal webmembers, horizontal members and upper chords, the vertical web members and the diagonal web members are arranged on the lower chords, the vertical web members and the diagonal web members are arrangedin at least two layers, and the horizontal members are arranged between the vertical web members and the diagonal web members; wherein the upper chord member is arranged at the topmost parts of the vertical web members and the inclined web members, a roof truss is formed by the lower chord member, the vertical web members, the inclined web members, the horizontal members and the upper chord member, the lower chord member is arc-shaped and arches upwards, the lower chord member is square steel, and the upper chord member is H-shaped steel and is formed by welding steel plates. By using the light steel material and the multi-layer composite structure, the problem of 75m span is solved, the blank of a steel roof truss structure is filled, the cost is saved, the manufacturing cost is reduced,and the problems that a steel structure with a large span cannot be implemented and the dead weight is too large are solved.
