The invention belongs to the technical field of hydropower station control, and particularly relates to a cascade hydropower station minimum discharge flow dynamic control method and system. The method comprises the following steps of 1, judging whether the original minimum discharge flow of a water reducing river reach between cascade power stations meets an optimal value interval or not; 2, monitoring and analyzing backwater of reservoir areas of different dam water levels of a reservoir, and determining corresponding incomplete connection river reach lengths of different water levels and control section flow or water levels of the river reach; 3, acquiring connection data and water resource utilization data of the water reducing river reach, and evaluating the control of the current minimum discharge flow according to the acquired data; and 4, re-determining the control section of the minimum discharge flow scheduling. On the basis of optimizing the control method, a more accurate and convenient minimum discharge flow monitoring mode of the hydropower station is provided through the change of control conditions, and the water energy utilization efficiency of the cascade power station is improved on the premise of ensuring the ecological environment of a river in real time.
