The invention relates to the technical field of refractory materials, and specifically to a special clay brick for a carbon roasting furnace. The clay brick is prepared from three-stage bauxite clinker, andalusite and clay, the invention further provides a preparation method of the special clay brick for the carbon roasting furnace. In the preparation process, sieving a paper pulp; adding water for diluting when the particle size is lower than 22 meshes; mixing with a powder; avoiding formation of mud pies, forming pores in a fired brick blank; refining the slurry of which the size is higher than 22 meshes, and impregnating a blank product subjected to primary baking; forming non-agglomerated small molecules after refinement, realizing redistribution of fine fibers in the slurry in a porestructure of a blank product under high-temperature roasting, so that the volume density of the blank product is improved, the internal structure of the blank product is further densified, the blank is roasted and dried for multiple times in the slurry, good grafting is guaranteed, fiber reinforcement is formed, and cracks are prevented from being generated during shrinkage; through final sintering, the Fe2O3 content is reduced, the volume is reduced, and the clay has a glass liquid phase and fills gaps of unmelted particles.
