The invention discloses a road width limiting system. The system comprises two width limiting piers which are symmetrically arranged and a speed bump group composed of a contraction strip and two supporting strips. A motor is fixed at the upper end of one of the width limiting piers, a handrail is fixed to an output shaft of the motor, receiving boxes are fixed to the sides, close to the speed bump group, of the two width limiting piers, photoresistors are fixed into the two receiving boxes, a power generation box is jointly fixed to the bottoms of the two supporting strips, and a supporting plate is fixed to the inner wall of the power generation box. The system has the following advantages: light emitted by a lamp tube is used for carrying out strong light stimulation on the photoresistors, and the motor cannot be electrified to rotate, so vehicles can pass normally; and when the position of a vehicle deviates, the vehicle body can block light emitted by the lamp tube, so that the resistance of the photoresistors is changed, the motor drives the handrail to rotate to block the road, meanwhile, a prompt is given to a driver to avoid scratching, and a good auxiliary effect can be achieved for a beginner driver.
