The invention discloses a rural road deceleration width-limiting road pier. The road pier comprises a trapezoidal plate, a width detection device is arranged in the trapezoidal plate, the width detection device comprises two right lifting grooves which are symmetrical front and back and are provided with upward openings, and measuring plates which extend upwards to the upper side of the trapezoidal plate are slidably connected into the right lifting grooves. The device is clamped to a certain position so that the width of a vehicle is limited, and meanwhile, a driver is reminded to decelerate.Different from an existing fixed road pier, the two road piers are provided with traffic control sliding blocks, when the width of the vehicle does not meet the requirement, the two traffic control sliding blocks move in the direction close to each other to forbid the vehicle from passing through, and when the width of the vehicle meets the requirement, the two traffic control sliding blocks movein the direction away from each other; and a situation that the driver cannot pass through due to a poor driving skill or the vehicle body slightly inclines to cause damage of the vehicle body when the vehicle passes through the device is avoided.
