The invention discloses a hollow wall structure and a construction method thereof. The construction method comprises the following steps of step (A), constructing a grouting wall formwork, wherein thegrouting wall formwork is provided with two rebar reticulate frames arranged at intervals in a grouting space of the grouting wall formwork and a styrofoam board arranged at intervals between the rebar reticulate frames; step (B), pouring curable materials into the grouting space; step (C), after the curable materials are cured and shaped, removing the framework to obtain a semi-finished hollow wall with the styrofoam board; and step (D), clearing the styrofoam board to obtain the hollow wall, and the hollow wall has a communicating space at the position of the cleared styrofoam board. Through the above construction method design, a hollow double-layer structure of the constructed hollow wall structure can effectively block outdoor low temperature and high temperature.
