The invention provides a waste heat recovery system. The waste heat recovery system recovers heat from exhaust gas of a preheater of cement sintering equipment, a dust conveyor for discharging dust from a waste heat boiler is omitted, and stable operation of the system is continued. The waste heat recovery system is provided with the waste heat boiler, a guide fan, an exhaust pipe and dust discharge pipe, wherein the guide fan guides exhaust gas to the waste heat boiler and discharges the exhaust gas from the waste heat boiler, the exhaust pipe is connected with an exhaust outlet of the wasteheat boiler and an inlet of the guide fan, the dust discharge pipe is connected with a dust outlet of the waste heat boiler and the inlet of the guide fan, the dust discharge pipe is provided with a dust amount adjustment part, and the dust amount adjustment part adjusts the amount of dust passing therethrough so that the load of the guide fan is equal to or less than a predetermined load threshold.
