The invention discloses a preparation method of a foamed ceramic thermal insulation decorative plate, which comprises the following steps: preparing a ceramic tile green brick, putting the ceramic tile green brick into a high-temperature sagger, and distributing foamed ceramic powder onto the ceramic tile green brick to form a foamed ceramic green body, thereby obtaining a green body; and then firing and cooling the green body to obtain a finished foamed ceramic thermal insulation decorative plate. The foamed ceramic thermal insulation decorative plate comprises a ceramic tile layer and a foamed ceramic layer, the ratio of the width of the ceramic tile green body to the width of the ceramic tile layer is (1.05-1.2): 1; and the ratio of the width of the foamed ceramic green body to the width of the foamed ceramic layer is (1.02-1.07): 1. Correspondingly, the invention further discloses the foamed ceramic thermal insulation decorative plate which is prepared by adopting the method. By implementing the invention, the production cost of the foamed ceramic thermal insulation decorative plate can be effectively reduced, and the decorative function is improved.
