The preparation method comprises the following steps: selecting gypsum powder, vitrified micro bubbles, cement, a retarder, a water retaining agent, a lubricant, a stabilizer, an air entraining agent, a water reducing agent, silicon dioxide, a waterrepellent, slag, steel slag and gypsum whiskers, and sequentially carrying out primary stirring I, primary stirring II, mixing stirring and packaging to obtain the water-resistant gypsum mortar. According to the preparation method of the water-resistant gypsum mortar, the strength and the water resistance of the gypsum mortar are improved through chemical reaction and physical action of the silicon dioxide and the water repellent; by adding the vitrified microbeads, the heat preservation and insulation performance of the gypsum mortar is improved, noise transmission is reduced, and the sound insulation effect is improved.
