The invention discloses a buckling-shearing metal damper applied to a shock isolation layer and belongs to the technical field of engineering structure shock absorption and isolation. The metal damperis applied to the shock isolation layer of a shock isolation building and comprises a corrugated cylinder (1), an upper connecting plate (2), a lower connecting plate (3), an annular supporting plate(4) and an L-shaped connecting piece (5), wherein the corrugated cylinder (1) is cemented to the upper connecting plate (2), the lower connecting plate (3) and the annular supporting plate (4) to form a damper component, the L-shaped connecting piece (5) is fixed to an upper buttress (9) of the shock isolation layer, the upper connecting plate (2) is fixedly connected with the L-shaped connectingpiece (5), and the lower connecting plate (3) is fixedly connected with a shock isolation support lower connecting plate (6). When the upper buttress (9) moves horizontally, the upper connecting plate (2) moves along with the upper buttress (9), the corrugated cylinder (1) generates tension-pressure buckling deformation and bending shearing deformation, damping and lateral force resisting rigidity can be provided for the shock isolation layer in any horizontal direction, the deformation of the shock isolation layer is suppressed, energy is dissipated, and therefore the function of protectingan upper structure is achieved.
