The invention relates to a laying device and method for a stone-like coating wall surface diving joint tape. The laying device comprises a support, a main shaft with one end fixedly disposed on the support, baffle plates disposed at the two ends of the main shaft, an installing mechanism disposed on the main shaft and located between the two baffle plates, and a pressing wheel rotationally connected to the support and located on one side of the main shaft. A connecting piece is disposed between the baffle plate located at the end, away from the support, of the main shaft and the main shaft. The baffle plates are detachably connected with the main shaft through the connecting piece. The installing mechanism is configured to dispose the tape on the main shaft and make the tape rotate aroundthe axis of the main shaft. The axis of the pressing wheel is parallel to the axis of the main shaft. The laying device and method have the effect of improving convenience during laying of the divingjoint tape.
