The invention discloses a device for controlling the thickness of a mortar joint in aerated block masonry. The device comprises two bases and vertical columns arranged on the upper side of the bases.A sliding rod is arranged between the two vertical columns. The bases and the vertical columns are provided with displacement components. The sliding rod is provided with scales. The sliding rod is slidably connected with a moving block. The moving block is connected to a placement base through a connecting assembly. The lower end of the placement base is provided with a partition. The placement base is provided with a transportation component for adding mud. Control components are arranged at the side ends of the vertical columns. A motor drives a screw to rotate to make a sliding block whichis threadedly connected with the screw move up and down. The up and down displacement of the sliding block drives a connection cylinder, a sliding rod and the placement seat to move up and down. An infrared sensor detects the position of the placement seat accurately, and then realizes the precise control of the thickness of the mortar joint in the up and down direction. Manual control is not needed, and the accuracy is high.
