The invention relates to a smooth wheel road roller for road finishing, which comprises a pressing wheel, a rack and a rotating shaft, wherein the rack is provided with two sides; the two sides of thepressing wheel are rotationally connected with the rack through the rotating shaft; grooves are formed in the inner sides of the two ends of the rack; a scraping plate is arranged in the groove; a push plate is arranged on the rear side of the scraping plate; the rear side of the push plate is fixedly connected with a piston rod of an air cylinder fixed in the rack; mud removing plates are arranged at the upper ends and the lower ends of the two sides of therack; and a scraping plate is arranged in the groove. Due tosuch a design, the mud removing plate can be used for pre-removing mud from the pressing wheel,the scraping plate further removes clay on the surface of the pressing wheel, the mud removing effect of the pressing wheel is thus realized, and the working efficiency is ensured;the push plate pushed by the air cylinder is arranged on the rear side of the scraping plate, the scraping plate is connected with the sliding block arranged in the sliding rail through the spring column, and due to the design, the gap between the scraping plate and the surface of the pressing wheel can be adjusted, and mud scraping treatment can be conducted according to the actual situation.
