The construction method mainly comprises the following steps of integrally assembling the new steel roof on an assembling jig frame under the old steel roof; arranging an integral jacking system; jacking the new steel roof to the bottom of the old steel roof through the jacking system, and arranging profile steel brackets I; arranging a plurality of profile steel brackets II; removing the connection between the old steel roof and peripheral permanent structures; jacking the new steel roof and the old steel roof together, and enabling the new steel roof to be jacked to the designed elevation; fixing the new steel roof; and cutting and disassembling the old steel roof onan operation platform provided by the new steel roof. The construction method is slightly influenced by weather factors, the requirement for cranes is low, and an internal building structure is fullyprotected in the construction process; and besides, the new steel roof provides a safe operation platform for the dismantling work of the old steel roof, the safety problem of aloft work is solved, the dismantling difficulty of the old steel roof is reduced, a plurality of working surfaces can be constructed at the same time, and the construction efficiency is effectively improved.
