The invention relates to an inhaul cable dismounting device and method. The dismounting device comprises a clamping module and a tensioning module; the clamping module comprises a first tool, a secondtool, a first anti-sliding cable clamp and a second anti-sliding cable clamp; the first tool and the second tool are connected together through the tensioning module; the tensioning module comprisesa tensioning screw, a center hole type hydraulic jack, a first anchorage device, a force transmission frame, a second anchorage device and a nut; and the tensioning screw is arranged on the first tooland the second tool in a penetrating mode, and the center hole type hydraulic jack, the first anchorage device, the force transmission frame and the second anchorage device are all arranged on one side of the first tool. The dismounting method comprises the steps of firstly, mounting the inhaul cable dismounting device; secondly, unloading an inhaul cable section between the tools; thirdly, cutting a to-be-dismounted inhaul cable in batches; fourthly, unloading the rest of the inhaul cable; and fifthly, dismounting the inhaul cable. The controllability of the inhaul cable dismounting device and the dismounting process is high, the safety and stability of the inhaul cable dismounting process can be effectively guaranteed, and the impact effect generated after the inhaul cable is cut off can be effectively relieved.
