The invention provides a door handle box for a single/double door of a construction elevator which comprises a rear plate, two front plates and two square tubes; the two square tubes are parallely arranged in the vertical direction and are fixed to the upper side and the lower side of the rear plate, and the two front plates are symmetrically fixed to the left sides and the right sides of the twosquare tubes; the two front plates divide the middle parts of the two square tubes into handle parts, a gap is formed between the two square tubes in the vertical direction, and the two square tubes are respectively an upper square tube and a lower square tube; in the handle parts, a force application strip is fixed to the outward edge of the lower end of the upper square tube, and an L-shaped protective strip is wrapped around the corner of the outward side of the upper end of the lower square tube; and a hand digging part is formed between each force application strip and the corresponding L-shaped protective strip. The door handle box has the following advantages of being effortless in use, capable of preventing a hand from being cut, attractive in appearance, easy to machine and simplein material.
