The invention provides a self-luminous aggregate. The self-luminous aggregate comprises an aggregate matrix and a reflective coating, wherein the reflective coating wraps the aggregate matrix; the aggregate matrix comprises an organic self-luminous aggregate matrix or an inorganic self-luminous aggregate matrix; the organic self-luminous aggregate matrix is formed by adding self-luminous powder into an organic material and curing; the inorganic self-luminous aggregate matrix is formed by adding self-luminous powder into an inorganic material, curing, sintering and granulating; and the reflective coating comprises any one or more of an acrylic acid coating, an epoxy coating, a polyurethane coating, an inorganic coating and an organic-inorganic composite coating. In addition, the invention further provides the preparation method and the use method of the self-luminous aggregate. According to the technical scheme provided by the invention, the self-luminous aggregate has the advantages ofhigher brightness, high initial brightness, long afterglow time and cost saving, and meanwhile, can be applied to building planes of any color and has good light storage and luminous effects after being ground and polished.
