The invention discloses a method for preparing modular porous bricks from sludge and urban muck, which comprises the following steps: S1, muck treatment: putting selected urban muck into drying equipment at the temperature of 150-200 DEG C, drying, pulverizing and sieving, and taking out the pulverized muck for later use; S2, raw material mixing: putting the crushed muck material in S1 and the selected sludge into a stirrer together, and stirring to obtain a mixture a for later use; adjusting sludge with relatively high moisture through a dehydrating agent and press drying secondary treatmentso that the foul sewage amount in the sludge is reduced. Steel slag, borax, starch and quartz in a corresponding proportion are added in the preparation process of muck and sludge to serve as auxiliary materials blended in the muck and the sludge, a composite gelatinizing agent plays a gelatinizing and curing role in the porous brick to stimulate the activity of the steel slag, and gypsum and pulverized coal increase the compressive strength of the brick and reduce the volume expansion of lime, so that the problem of poor compressive strength of porous bricks prepared from sludge and muck is solved.
