The metal casting composite material comprises a metal shell cast by iron-based alloy and resin concrete filled in the metal shell, the resin concrete comprises the following components in percentage by mass: 4%-8% of epoxy resin, 1%-4% of a curing agent, 50%-70% of quartz stone, 8%-15% of quartz sand and 6%-15% of quartz powder. The mass ratio of the resin concrete to the metal shell is 1: 1-2: 1. The invention further relates to a preparation method of the metal casting composite material. The metal casting composite material has the performance advantages of both an iron-based casting and a mineral casting, and is high in strength and stable and durable in structure.
