The invention relates to a catching boat for catching floating objects on the water surface. The boat comprises a boat body and a storage box for collecting the floating objects. The boat body is composed of two buoys (17) fixedly arranged on a connecting plate (23), the storage box is located between the buoys, the top and the front portion of the storage box are open, and the storage box is driven by a lifting system arranged on the buoys so that the storage box can ascend or descend relative to the buoys. A horizontal compression system for compressing floaters is arranged on a bottom plate(3) of the storage box and comprises a turning plate (5) and a sliding plate (11), a spring hinge (6) is connected between the turning plate and the sliding plate, a sliding block is driven by a horizontal electric push rod (16), and when the sliding block moves horizontally, the bottom of the sliding block can make contact with the turning plate and the sliding plate or only make contact with the sliding plate. The boat has the advantages that the lifting system controls the storage box to ascend or descend, the waterline is located at the proper position, and floating objects can be collected easily; the compression system can compress the floaters into the storage box, the floaters are prevented from being scattered, the space of the storage box is fully utilized, and the floaters canbe conveniently discharged.
