The invention provides a phase change heat storage wall material for building maintenance and a preparation method thereof. The phase change heat storage wall material is composed of modified ceramsite adsorbing composite organic acid, silicon carbide micro powder, polyphenyl granules, cement, fly ash and steel slag sand. The preparation method of the phase change heat storage wall material comprises the following steps: pouring ceramsite into molten hexadecyl trimethyl ammonium bromide, stirring, filtering and drying to obtain modified ceramsite, putting the modified ceramsite into molten composite organic acid containing n-decanoic acid and stearic acid, standing, and filtering to obtain the modified ceramsite adsorbing the composite organic acid; and mixing and stirring with other materials according to the proportion, pouring into a mold for molding, curing and demolding to obtain the phase change heat storage wall material.
