The invention relates to a rigid connecting joint between a box type steel column and a steel reinforced concrete column. The rigid connecting joint between the box type steel column and the steel reinforced concrete column comprises the box type steel column and the steel reinforced concrete column. A uniform-section cross-shaped steel plate is arranged on the steel reinforced concrete column. The rigid connecting joint further comprises an opening sealing plate. A variable-section cross-shaped steel plate is arranged at the top end of the steel reinforced concrete column, the end face, withthe small area, of the variable-section cross-shaped steel plate is connected with the uniform-section cross-shaped steel plate, and the box type steel column, the opening sealing plate and the variable-section cross-shaped steel plate are welded in sequence. Grout overflowing holes are formed in the opening sealing plate, and overflowing holes are formed in the side face of the box type steel column. Compared with the prior art, the rigid connecting joint has the advantages of being high in rigidity, high in bearing capacity and the like.
