The technical aim is to provide the foamed wall material prepared from the gangue and fly ash and the preparation method thereof. The preparation method comprises the following steps of adding water into the gangue fly ash, a reinforcing agent, a pore forming agent and a binding agent, uniformly mixing the components to obtain a mixture, pouring the mixture into a foaming curing box for curing and foaming, performing demolding and cutting after foaming is finished, and performing curing under high-temperature steam to obtain the finished foamed wall material, wherein the reinforcing agentis quicklime, quartz sand and ferrosilicon ash. The obtained wall material has good strength.
