The invention discloses a fireproof insulation board and a preparation method thereof. The insulation board is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 80-150 parts of cement, 20-40 parts of non-metallic mineral stone powder, 30-60 parts of fly ash, 20-40 parts of an adhesive, 5-10 parts of polyphenyl particle foam and 80-150 parts of water. The preparation method comprises the following steps: mixing foaming particles with different foaming ratios to obtain a polyphenyl particle foaming material; mixing the non-metallic mineral stone powder, the cement, the adhesive and the fly ash in proportion to obtain a premix; mixing the polyphenyl particle foaming material with the premix, and uniformly mixing to obtain a mixture; molding and maintaining the mixture, and then performing surface treatment on the semi-finished product to form a plurality of arc surface grooves in the surface of the semi-finished product. The fireproof insulation board has excellent thermal insulation performance, compressive strength and tensile strength and is environmentally friendly, the flame retardant property reaches the A level, the multiple arc surface grooves are formed by conducting surface treatment on the insulation board, and the bonding firmness of the fireproof insulation board and a to-be-constructed wall surface/board can be improved.
