The invention relates to a connecting structure for a prefabricated beam column and a construction method thereof. The connecting structure comprises a prefabricated column and at least two prefabricated beams, a plurality of column ribs extend out of the prefabricated column, the at least two prefabricated beams are arranged at the periphery of the top face of the prefabricated column at intervals in a surrounding manner, and a beam-column joint area is defined by all the prefabricated beams and the top face of the prefabricated column; and a plurality of anchor bars extend out of the ends ofthe prefabricated beams, the column bars and the anchor bars extend into the beam-column joint area in a staggered manner, an interval is formed between the opposite anchor bars on the two prefabricated beams located on the same straight line, and the top face of the prefabricated column is provided with an external member capable of allowing the column bars and the anchor bars to penetrate through at the same time. The side face of the external member and the column face of the prefabricated column form an interval allowing the prefabricated beams to be in lap joint with the prefabricated column, a through hole is formed in the external member in a penetrating manner, and the hole diameter direction of the through hole extends in the length direction of the prefabricated column and is located in a ring defined by the multiple column ribs. The connecting structure has the effect of solving the problem that during lap joint of prefabricated beams and columns, the steel bar collision phenomenon occurs, and consequently the lap joint effect is poor.
