The invention provides a safe handheld earth boring machine. The safe handheld earth boring machine comprises a handle, a drill bit, a driving motor and a control system of the driving motor, whereinthe drill bit comprises a spiral blade and a main shaft; the main shaft is connected to the driving motor and is driven by the driving motor to rotate so as to drive the spiral blade to rotate synchronously; a pressure sensor is arranged on the handle and is connected to the control system of the driving motor; and when the pressure detected by the pressure sensor reaches a set value, the drivingmotor can be started. According to the earth boring machine, the pressure sensor is arranged on the handle, therefore, when the earth boring machine is separated from the hands of a worker, the earthboring machine can automatically stop working, and the damage to surrounding personnel and objects due to out-of-control of the earth boring machine is avoided.
