The invention provides a municipal road drainage system. The system comprises a road and a road edge; a road surface is provided with a sewer pipeline; the upper end of a protective net is hinged to awater inlet; the road edge is downwards provided with a side drainage pipeline, and the side drainage pipeline is communicated with the water inlet; a first guide shaft and a second guide shaft are fixed to the interior of the road edge; a first water receiving tank is arranged below the first guide shaft; the first water receiving tank is fixed through a pull rope and the protective net; a firstwater outlet hole is formed in the bottom of the first water receiving tank; a lifting hole is formed in the road edge and located below the protective net; the lifting hole is communicated with theside drainage pipeline; a movable groove communicated with the lifting hole is formed in the side wall, close to the side drainage pipeline, of the road edge; a lifting column is installed inside thelifting hole; the bottom of the lifting column is fixed to the bottom of the side drainage pipeline through a spring; a clamping groove is formed in the top of the lifting column; a second water receiving tank is fixed to the lifting column; a second water outlet hole is formed in the bottom of the second water receiving tank; and the first water outlet hole is connected with a guide pipe for guiding water into the second water receiving tank. According to the municipal road drainage system, the pavement is not prone to accumulating water and becomes safe.
