A vibration excitation unit, a vibration transmission mechanism, an opening and closing driving mechanism and tamping arms of the double-sleeper tamping device are connected in sequence, and a transmission path is formed between the vibration excitation unit and each tamping arm; the vibration excitation unit is fixedly installed on a machine frame, and the output end of the vibration excitation unit is hinged to the vibration transmission mechanism. The vibration transmission mechanism is hinged to the machine frame and can rotate around the hinge point of the vibration transmission mechanism and the machine frame. One end of the opening and closing driving mechanism is hinged to the vibration transmission mechanism, and the other end is hinged to the tamping arms; a tamping pickaxe is fixedly installed at the bottom end of the tamping arm, and the tamping arm is hinged to the machine frame and can rotate around the hinge point of the tamping arm and the machine frame. A clamping oil cylinder of the double-sleeper tamping device only bears force along acylinder rod and does not bear torque, the service life of the clamping oil cylinder can be prolonged, and therefore the maintenance cost is reduced.
