The embodiment of the invention discloses an excavation control system and method for an excavator and the excavator. The system comprises a remote control unit which is in communication connection with a complete machine control unit of the excavator; the remote control unit is used for sending control instructions to the complete machine control unit according to user operation, and the completemachine control unit is used for storing a pre-excavation target pose according to a pre-excavation setting instruction and adjusting the pose of the excavator to the pre-excavation target pose according to a pre-excavation instruction; the complete machine control unit is used for storing a pre-discharging target pose according to a pre-discharging setting instruction and adjusting the pose of the excavator to the pre-discharging target pose according to a pre-discharging instruction; and the complete machine control unit is used for storing an excavation mode selected by a user according toan excavation mode setting instruction and controlling the excavator to perform auxiliary excavation according to the determined excavation mode according to an auxiliary excavation instruction. According to the technical scheme, precise excavation of the excavator is achieved, the operation difficulty of an excavator operator is reduced, and the working efficiency of the excavator is improved.
