The invention provides a cable-stayed bridge side span pushing closure construction method which comprises the following steps that S001, side span beam sections are stored on a side span high supportand connected into a whole, and when a main bridge cantilever is hoisted to the side span closure section, closure opening secondary side span beam sections are hoisted to a closure opening; S002, the secondary side span beam section of the closure gap is hoisted in place and then connected with the previous beam section, the elevation of the secondary side span beam section of the closure gap isadjusted to be close to that of the side span beam section by tensioning stay cables, the axis of the secondary side span beam section of the closure gap is adjusted through a chain block, and the side span beam section is pushed through a pushing device below the side span beam section after being adjusted in place; the side span beam section is sequentially connected with the closure gap secondary side span beam section; and S003, the elevation of the closure gap secondary side span beam section is finely adjusted through a screw jack, the closure gap secondary side span beam section and the side span beam section are connected through splice plates and high-strength bolts, and cable-stayed bridge side span closure is completed.
