The invention discloses a cable climbing robot which comprises a cable climbing robot body, an adjusting support with a hook is arranged on the cable climbing robot body, an auxiliary wheel mechanismis connected to the adjusting support in a hung mode, and the cable climbing robot further comprises a detection mechanism which is fixed to the cable climbing robot body and used for shooting imagesin the circumferential direction of a cableway.
