The waterproof structure comprises a lining ring; the lining ring is formed by splicing a prefabricated lining upper block and a prefabricated lining lower block which are oppositely arranged up and down; each of the prefabricated lining upper block and the prefabricated lining lower block comprises a structural plate and two side walls connected withtwo ends of the structural plate; and the two side walls of the prefabricated lining upper block are connected with the two side walls of the prefabricated lining lower block through concave and convex tenon structures respectively; side wall waterproof grooves extending in the longitudinal direction are formed in the outer sides of tenons on annular joint faces in the side walls provided with thetenons; and side wall waterproof rubber strips are pasted in the side wall waterproof grooves. According to the waterproof structure and the construction method, waterproof materials are saved, the construction quality is high, certain procedure crossing can be achieved between waterproof construction and prefabricated lining assembly, the lining construction speed is increased, and the overall construction period of an open trench tunnel is shortened.
