The invention belongs to the technical field of robots, and particularly relates to a water surface garbage removing robot. The robot comprises two buoyancy tanks, mounting plates are fixedly connected to the surfaces of the buoyancy tanks, and the two buoyancy tanks are symmetrically distributed with the axis of a mounting plate as the center. According to the water surface garbage removing robot, through the arrangement of a sinking and floating device and a collecting device, in application of the robot, after an electromagnetic valve on a water inlet pipe is opened, water enters the floating tanks; after the water enters the floating boxes, the pressure of the floating tanks is increased, the floating tanks sink gradually, a conveying screen is driven to sink to the position below semi-floating garbage, then the water in the floating tanks is pumped out through submersible pumps, the floating tanks float to drive the conveying screen and the semi-floating garbage to be away from the water surface, then a second servo motor drives the conveying screen to move, the garbage is conveyed into a connecting box and a compression box to be cleaned and collected, and therefore the problem that an existing water surface garbage removing robot cannot collect and clean semi-floating garbage on water surface is solved.
