The invention discloses a vertical ecological embankment which comprises an embankment body, high-pressure jet grouting piles, a broken stone hardcore, a concrete cushion, cantilever type reinforced concrete retaining walls and a footpath. The high-pressure jet grouting piles are arranged on the near-water side and the back-water side of the embankment body, the broken stone hardcore is laid abovethe high-pressure jet grouting piles, the concrete cushion is laid on the broken stone hardcore, the cantilever type reinforced concrete retaining walls are arranged on the concrete cushion, and thecantilever type reinforced concrete retaining walls are vertically arranged. The position between the two cantilever type reinforced concrete retaining walls on the near-water side and the back-waterside of the embankment body is filled with filled soil, and the footpath is laid on the filled soil. According to the vertical ecological embankment, the occupied area is reduced, differential settlement of the retaining walls is reduced through the high-pressure jet grouting piles, and therefore the problem that an existing embankment is prone to settlement is practically solved.
