The low-impedance ceramic discharge tube shell material comprises the following chemical components in percentage by mass: 31-33% of Al2O3; 52-55% of SiO2; 0.35-0.38% of CaO; 10.5-11% of MgO; 0.08-0.11% of TiO2; 0.05-0.08% of Fe2O3; and 2.1-2.7% of R2O. According to the invention, impedance is low, and the air switch can be automatically closed to recover energization conveniently; high-temperature resistance is achieved, and installation in a severe environment is facilitated; andcorrosion resistance is achieved, and the service life of the air switch can be effectively prolonged to a certain extent.
