The invention discloses an automatic monitoring water level gauge device capable of serving as a waterproof baffle. The device comprises a water level pipe, a floating wood ruler provided with heightscale marks, a limiting mechanism, a pool and a water-stop sheet, wherein the water level pipe is inserted into a soil body, and the lower end of the water level pipe is communicated with undergroundwater; the floating wood ruler is inserted into the water level pipe and ascends and descends under the buoyancy action of the underground water, the bottom end of the floating wood ruler is providedwith a limiting base, and the limiting base is slidably attached to the inner side wall of the water level pipe; the limiting mechanism is fixedly arranged at the upper end of the inner wall of the water level pipe, and the floating wood ruler movably penetrates through the limiting mechanism in a lifting mode; the pool is arranged in the soil body, and the bottom of the pool is connected with theunderground water; and the water-stop sheet is slidably arranged in the pool in a lifting mode, and is used for connecting a passage between the bottom of the pool and the underground water when thewater-stop sheet is opened upwards and closing the passage between the bottom of the pool and the underground water when the water-stop sheet is closed downwards. The water level of the underground water can be monitored in real time, and a waterproof effect can be achieved.
