The invention discloses a preparation process of a ceramic friction material for an automobile brake pad, belonging to the technical field of automobile brake pads. The preparation process comprises the following steps: (1) preparing composite modified fly ash; (2) preparing matrix resin; (3) preparinga a coupling agent treatment material; (4) preparing a premix; and (5) adding the obtained premixinto a mold, carrying out hot press molding, and conducting cooling to room temperature, thereby obtaining the ceramic friction material. The ceramic material for the automobile brake pad prepared bythe method disclosed by the invention has a lower friction coefficient.
