A ceramic brake pad friction material is characterized by comprising, by weight, 6-7 parts of phenolic resin, 2-3 parts of nitrile rubber, 1-2 parts of aramid fiber, 4-5 parts of ceramic fiber, 2-4 parts of carbon fiber, 6-8 parts of calcium sulfate whisker, 2-4 parts of red copper fiber, 3-4 parts of iron oxide yellow, 3-5 parts of light magnesium oxide, 2-4 parts of antimony trioxide, 1-3 parts of aluminum oxide, 6-8 parts of high titanium powder, 2-3 parts of white carbon black, 2-4 parts of copper sulfide and 4-5 parts of coke. The friction material comprises the following components in parts by weight: 2-3 parts of friction powder, 10-12 parts of artificial granular graphite, 3-6 parts of phosphatized graphite, 14-16 parts of precipitated barium sulfate, 2-3 parts of zirconium silicate, 2-3 parts of silicon-calcium powder and 3-6 parts of cryolite. The invention further discloses a preparation method of the brake pad. The friction material has the advantages of good friction coefficient stability and good wear resistance.
