Displacement amplification type damper
The invention discloses a displacement amplification type damper. According to the displacement amplification type damper, buckling restrained SMA rods and rigid rods are connected through a large gear and a small gear, the large gear is engaged with the rigid rods welded with racks, the small gear is engaged with the rigid rods welded with the racks, and the displacement amplification coefficientis controlled through the design that the radiuses of the large gear and the small gear are different. A set of concentric circle gears are fixed into a steel plate through a steel shaft, the large gear is tightly engaged with the rack welded to a lower rigid rod, the buckling restrained SMA rods are fixed into the steel plate through high-strength nuts, and a section of rack is welded to the rigid rod between the two buckling restrained SMA rods and is tightly engaged with the small gear. The energy dissipation capacity of the damper mainly comes from deformation energy dissipation of the SMA rod; meanwhile, the radius ratio of a large damper to a small damper is changed during design, so that displacement amplification is realized; and compared with a common damper, the displacement amplification type damper has good energy dissipation capacity and self-resetting capacity.
