The invention relates to a novel fire hydrant protection device. The novel fire hydrant protection device comprises a protection box body, a base, a top cover, a safety door, a safety lock, a panel, an indicator light, an LED (Light Emitting Diode) screen, a controller and a loudspeaker, wherein the base is installed on the ground and is assembled with the box body, the top cover, the safety doorand the safety lock so as to form external protection of a fire hydrant; the indicator light, the LED screen and the controller are all installed on the panel; the working state of the fire hydrant isdisplayed by the indicator light; the real-time time and the working state of the whole device are displayed on the LED screen; and the controller is used for controlling the alarm of the device anddetecting the vibration of the whole device. According to the novel fire hydrant protection device, an external protective shell can be used for additionally protecting the fire hydrant; and a vibration detection sensor is arranged in the controller, when the vibration value of the protection device exceeds a set value, the loudspeaker is controlled to play warning voice by the controller, and a signal is sent to a fire department so as to remind firefighters that the fire hydrant is damaged, so that great convenience is brought to the fire department to protect and maintain the fire hydrant.
